On Saturday, October 5, State Vice Regent Anna Choi, State Organizing Secretary Anne Hobbs, State Registrar Donna Rhyne, District Director Susan Waldkirch, District Vice Director Janet Westbrook, District Secretary Sallye Brown, and I were honored to join the Yadkin River Patriots Chapter to celebrate their 100th Anniversary. Included in the attendees were descendants of the organizing members and photos of those organizing members were identified and part of the table centerpieces.
We were treated to a delicious dinner prepared by the church men and pieces of a gorgeous anniversary cake. A history of the chapter was given by Priscilla Clarke, followed by an historical interpretation by Nora Brooks, in costume, portraying Abigail Adams. What a delightful evening it was. Congratulations to Regent Donna Huneycutt and all the Yadkin River Patriots for making this milestone and for a wonderful celebration.
