On Saturday, December 7th, (Pearl Harbor Day), I attended the Wilmington Ladies Tea Walk Chapter tea at the Scottish Rite Temple. Chapter Regent Gina Thompson graciously presided over a delicious meal and entertaining program. Dressed in colonial attire, Florida State Regent Kay Yarbrough, in spite of a cold, gave an enjoyable interpretation of our beloved Martha Washington. Honored guests were Honorary President General Merry Ann Wright, Past Vice President General Jane Barbot, Assistant Treasurer Meg Smith, District VII Director Lisa Pomeranz, and District Treasurer Ann Jones. As your State Regent I was honored to pin two new members with the DAR bar pin after their induction by Chapter Chaplain Susan Blackburn. The meeting concluded with the announcements of silent auction winners.
