On January 10th, I traveled to Rockingham, home of the General Henry William Harrington Chapter, Mary Bowles Regent, and joined them as they hosted the District III Symposium. These chapter members always outdo themselves with food and decorations, and Thursday was no exception. Thank you, General Henry William Harrington Chapter!
District Director Susan Waldkirch always runs an efficient meeting. She and I were most pleased with the attendance. Everyone enjoyed visiting old friends and making new friends. What a pleasure it was to visit with our District III Daughters. The speaker’s topic was Benjamin Rush, a little known but key figure during the beginning of our country. Benjamin Rush is worthy of your investigation. He was somewhat of a Forrest Gump.
What a delight to meet Clear Creek Militia’s new registrar, Leah Brisendine. She’s only been in NC a few months and has already stepped up to an important chapter position. My visit was made even more enjoyable with Bethany Westbrook serving as my Page. Thank you, Bethany!
