On Sunday, December 8th the Quaker Meadows Chapter, Donna Aubuchon Regent, held their famed December Tea at Kay Dignan’s lovely historic home in Morganton. Kay and her husband Mark were wonderful hosts for me that evening since it is almost a five hour drive home. It is such a treat to stay with members, meet their husbands, and get to know them better. I thank Marsha Hanna and Kathy Eichenbrenner from our sales team who brought many items for purchase to support our state’s projects. The food was delicious and the ambiance was ‘Christmas Spirit’ all the way with every room beautifully decorated. The chapter honored Sally Riddle, one of Quaker Meadows’ organizing members who has been a supportive pillar for the chapter with accolades, applause, and a certificate. Vice President General Elizabeth Graham, State Organizing Secretary Anne Hobbs, State Treasurer Rosie Craig, and State Librarian Nancy Wark joined in the festivities. Several new and prospective members attended and added to the lively enthusiastic chatter. Quaker Meadows’ future looks bright!
