On Tuesday of this week I joined the John Hoyle Chapter, Rhodella Coleman Regent, for their March meeting. Bringing in twelve new members in 2018 and four already in 2019, this chapter has outgrown their current meeting room and will be moving to a larger room at the same location in the fall. We love to hear this! In addition to the usual reports, members shared a bit of NSDAR heritage with a report on our Founders and information on the Sustaining Supporter Program. An enthusiastic invitation to our veterans’ Baby Shower at state conference was issued along with a list of items desired. They inducted five of their new members and I was honored to greet them personally. Two of Rhodella’s daughters were present, one daughter was inducted as a new member and the other was photographing the entire meeting for posterity. I hope DAR is a family affair for you.
